| Athol Speaks Out at the 1999 Groundswell Forum |
Groundswell are pleased to announce the appointment of Athol Hallé to the post of Chief Executive. Athol held the role of Acting Director for six months before an external recruitment process concluded with him being offered him the role.
On accepting the post Athol said “Leading Groundswell is a real honour, as the organisation has an inspiring track record of putting homeless people at the centre of solutions to homelessness for over 10 years.
“When I attended the Groundswell Self Help Forum in 1999, Client Involvement was a marginal activity, but it is now widely considered essential to the future of homelessness services and policy.
“Groundswell are currently developing innovative participation techniques, and are keen to support any agency that wants a hand with client involvement, whilst continuing to directly support homeless people to engage in self- help solutions.”
